The Special Services Cooperative of Wamego has positions available in the USD 320, Wamego School District for Paraeducators.  Paraeducators support students requiring academic, social, physical or emotional assistance. They provide instructional, behavioral, and other support to students in and out of the classroom. Paraeducators will work under the supervision of a certified teacher. On the job training provided! Applicants must be a high school graduate or GED equivalent.  Applicants must be reliable, hard-working, flexible, and be willing to take direction.  Positions available in all buildings, district wide. Exact assignment location can be discussed upon interview.  Employees working at least 30 hours per week are offered a competitive medical plan and supplemental benefit package.  Most positions are eligilbe for KPERS retirement.

The pay for these positions varies from $12.51-$14.60 per hour depending on experience and completed education level. An additional $1/hour diffential is paid to para-educators working in certain positions.
